Summary :

The European Society for the Study of Human Evolution (https://www.eshe.eu/) was set up in 2011 for bringing together annually in Europe the persons involved in research about human biological and cultural evolution, to stimulate communication and cooperation between scientists and to raise awareness and inform the large audience. Contributing disciplines typically include paleontology, biological anthropology and hominids paleogenetic; comparative and functional studies of present-day primates; paleolithic archaeology; and applied studies of biogeochemistry, geochronology, taphonomy, paleoecology and paleogeography. The congress presents current research in plenary sessions, in oral presentations, Pecha Kucha (short talks) and poster communications. ESHE’s event is the most important international congress in Europe about Human Evolution and Archaeology. ESHE is a dense congress offering a unique access to specialists in the field, students and researchers of all ages to highlight current scientific work. In 2025, it will be held for the second time in France (after Bordeaux in 2012) and the first time in Paris. Several prizes and awards are offered to young researchers, and scholarships are granted to enable them to attend. Childcare will be offered in this edition as it has been the case at all previous congresses to promote attendance of parents with child duties (https://www.eshe.eu/meetings/#childcare).
