DIM, a network of major research and innovation

A major research and innovation network (DIM) is a research network funded by the Ile-de-France Region for five years. The amount allocated to it is redistributed to the members of the network on the basis of responses to calls for projects. It supports the financing of doctoral and postdoctoral contracts, equipment, conferences, visiting scientists, internships, etc.

Through the DIM label, the Region aims at increasing the scientific influence and attractiveness of laboratories in the Ile-de-France Region by supporting structuring and breakthrough research projects carried out by teams around specific themes.

For the period 2022-2026, following a process of scientific expertise, the Regional Scientific Council has proposed the selection of nine DIM projects. These nine DIMs were approved by the Ile-de-France Regional Council in February 2022.
