Summary :

Microscopic Investigation at Notre-Dame is a documentary video project on the research work of Marie Godet, a young researcher who has studied for two years the interaction between the molten lead coming from the roof of the cathedral and the different materials of the monument (stone, glass, metal) after the fire of April 15, 2019. The film will both contextualize this research project with a series of specialist interviews and bring to light a field that is little known by the general audience: materials science, especially in regards to heritage conservation. Microscopy techniques will be particularly highlighted: the camera will follow Marie from analysis room to analysis room for a journey through the different scales of matter.
